Vietnam Highlights allows you the opportunity to visit the best areas of this unique country, taking in the stunning scenery, fascinating monuments and impressive temples.

Days 1 & 2

Fly with Singapore Airlines from London Heathrow to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) via Singapore.  On arrival at Saigon Airport you will be met and transferred to the Hotel Caravelle for a two night stay. 

Day 3

After breakfast you will be met for a city tour of Saigon to visit the city's landmarks including wandering along the former French colonial streets.  You will visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the 1880's General Post Office, the former Presidential Palace, Ben Thanh Central Market, the Historical Museum, the Jade Pagoda.  The tour will end in the Chinese district of Cholon to enjoy the bustling wholesale quarter of Saigon and the Thien Hau Temple.

Day 4

Following breakfast and checking out of the Hotel Caravelle, and transfer to Nha Trang with a stop en route at Mui Ne beach.  Check-in at the Sunrise Hotel for a two night stay.

Day 5

After breakfast, a full day boat cruise around the off shore islands of Nha Trang Bay with ample opportunities for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling.  Later there is also a visit to the Seawater Aquarium.  Lunch is also included.

Day 6

Following breakfast you will be transferred to Nha Trang Airport for an onward flight to Danang.  On arrival in Danang, visit the Cham Museum, displaying the best collection of Cham ruins dating from the 2nd - 15th Century.  Continue to Hoi An for the night, on arrival enjoy a walking tour of the ancient town centre and take in the former merchants' houses, the 400 year old Japanese covered bridge and the colourful market.  Check-in in at the Life Resort Hoi An for an overnight stay.

Day 7

After breakfast you will be transferred to the former royal city of Hue.  On arrival in Hue have a walk through the Imperial Citadel built in the early 19th Century and transfer to the Morin Hotel for a two night stay.

Day 8

Following breakfast enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's most preserved religious monument which stands on the riverbank.  Then visit the Imperial Citadel the exclusive stay of the Nguyen King families.  After lunch continue to visit the royal tombs of Khai Dinh and Tu Duc.

Day 9

After breakfast you will be transferred to Hue Airport for an onward flight to Hanoi.    Upon arrival, enjoy an orientation of the city by cyclo and attend a traditional water puppet show before transferring the Sofitel Plaza Hotel.

Day 10

Following breakfast visit the Temple of Literature, the Lake of the Restored Sword and the One Pillar Pagoda. Then drive to Hai Phong to visit the But Thap Pagoda before reaching Halong.  Stay overnight at the Halong Plaza Hotel.

Day 11

After breakfast transfer to a private junk to begin a 4 hour cruise of Halong Bay whilst enjoying a fresh seafood lunch served on board.  In the afternoon transfer to Hanoi and check-in at the Sofitel Plaza Hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12

Following breakfast, you will check out of the Sofitel Plaza Hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight to London Heathrow with Singapore Airlines via Singapore, arriving in the U.K. early the next morning.
