Pangkor Laut Resort

One Island, One Resort.

Located 5km off the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia on the idyllic privately owned island of Pangkor Laut the resort offers luxury and tranquillity.   A mixture of beautiful beaches including the world renowned Emerald Bay, 80 % of the island is covered by 120 million year old rainforest. Easily accessible from Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur, it is approximately a 3 hour transfer to Lumut Perry for the one hour private ferry service to the Resort.

All villas are uniquely designed to give the Resort a typically Malay feel.  There are a number of different types of villas available.  Guests can choose to stay over water in one of the Sea Villas which are uniquely set on stilts over the sea and linked by wooden walk ways, or in a Hill Villa perched on the hillside amongst the rainforest.

Beach Villas are clustered around the tropical gardens within a few steps of the white sandy beach (not on the beach).  Garden Villas are scattered throughout the foot of the hillside set amongst the beautiful tropical gardens.

All villas have private bathroom, air conditioning, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryer, direct dial telephone, CD player and a safety deposit box in the room.

Recreational facilities at the Pangkor Laut Resort include, 3 tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, whirlpool spa and jungle trekking.  Golf can also be arranged off the island.  Water activities including windsurfing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, fishing trips, island hopping, and the sunset dinner at sea are all available locally for a charge.

Indoor facilities include an air conditioned gymnasium and squash court. The delightful restaurants at the Pangkor Laut Resort offer an array of exquisite cuisine.  Situated next to the Frog Pool the informal Palm Grove Café serves an extensive buffet breakfast.  Uncle Lim’s Kitchen is located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, the speciality here is Nyonya and Hockchew Chinese style home cooking using unique products available locally.

Built on stilts over the sea The Samudra offers a variety of  Malay and International dishes in a breathtakingly beautiful location.  The Royal Bay Beach Club offers light refreshments, or Chapman’s Bar located at picturesque Emerald Bay serves light lunchtime meals.  Sunset Dinner on the Rocks is a must during your stay, watch the sunset over beautiful Emerald Bay and then enjoy a wonderful set four course meal.  Other enticing restaurants and bars include, Fisherman’s Cove, the Jamu Bar, the Oasis Bar and Sri Lagenda Lounge.
