Located 5km off the West
Coast of Peninsular Malaysia on the idyllic privately
owned island
of Pangkor Laut the resort offers luxury and tranquillity. A
mixture of beautiful beaches including the world renowned Emerald
Bay, 80 % of the island is covered by 120 million year old
rainforest. Easily accessible from Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur,
it is approximately a 3 hour transfer to Lumut Perry for the one
hour private ferry service to the Resort.
All villas are uniquely
designed to give the Resort a typically Malay feel. There are a
number of different types of villas available. Guests can choose to
stay over water in one of the Sea Villas which are uniquely set on
stilts over the sea and linked by wooden walk ways, or in a Hill
Villa perched on the hillside amongst the rainforest.
Beach Villas are clustered
around the tropical gardens within a few steps of the white sandy
beach (not on the beach).
Garden Villas are scattered throughout the foot of the hillside set
amongst the beautiful tropical gardens.
All villas have private
bathroom, air conditioning, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities,
hair dryer, direct dial telephone, CD player and a safety deposit
box in the room.
Recreational facilities at
the Pangkor Laut Resort include, 3 tennis courts, 2 swimming pools,
whirlpool spa and jungle trekking. Golf can also be arranged off
the island. Water activities including windsurfing, catamaran
sailing, canoeing, fishing trips, island hopping, and the sunset
dinner at sea are all available locally for a charge.
Indoor
facilities include an air conditioned gymnasium and squash court.
The delightful restaurants at the Pangkor Laut Resort offer an array
of exquisite cuisine. Situated next to the Frog Pool the informal
Palm Grove Café serves an extensive buffet breakfast. Uncle Lim’s
Kitchen is located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, the
speciality here is Nyonya and Hockchew Chinese style home cooking
using unique products available locally.
Built
on stilts over the sea The Samudra offers a variety of Malay and
International dishes in a breathtakingly beautiful location. The
Royal Bay Beach Club offers light refreshments, or Chapman’s Bar
located at picturesque Emerald Bay serves light lunchtime meals.
Sunset Dinner on the Rocks is a must during your stay, watch the
sunset over beautiful Emerald Bay and then enjoy a wonderful set
four course meal. Other enticing restaurants and bars include,
Fisherman’s Cove, the Jamu Bar, the Oasis Bar and Sri Lagenda
Lounge.
