Lego Themes

Lego ninjago is not the only themed set that the Lego Group has released. Indeed, the Lego Group have released sets with themes including robots, pirates, castles, dinosaurs, space, town and city, wild west, undersea exploration, Vikings, and trains. When the Lego Group releases a new set, the Group also releases new elements to compliment the new set. Lego, initially perceived to be a boy’s toy, has also released sets that are geared towards young girls such as the Clikits and the Belville lines. These two lines consist of small parts that interlock which are engineered to encourage arts and crafts, just like regular Lego bricks. There is no strict separation between the female and male Lego sets however, as the Belville and Clikit pieces can interlock with the regular Lego pieces.

There are no directly military-themed sets though there are some that may seem to have a military theme such as the Toy Story green soliders, or the Russian and German soldiers in the Indiana Jones sets. The reason behind this is Ole Kirk Christiansen himself who wanted to ensure war did not seem like a game for children.

Goya in his Middle Years

Goya enjoyed a very close relationship with the Spanish royalty and nobility. Many nobles commissioned him to paint their portraits including: Pedro Téllez-Girón, 9th Duke of Osuna and his wife María Josefa Pimentel, 12th Countess-Duchess of Benavente; María Ana de Pontejos y Sandoval, Marchioness of Pontejos; and María del Pilar de Silva, 13th Duchess of Alba (universally known simply as the "Duchess of Alba"), and her husband José María Álvarez de Toledo, 15th Duke of Medina Sidonia; no Data Centres though.

Goya developed a serious illness at some time between late 1792 and early 1793 that sadly left the artist completely deaf. After becoming deaf, Goya became very introspective and withdrawn. This period saw Goya produce some of his most experimental art. This art, including etchings and paintings, were published in 1799 as ‘Caprichos’. These were done in parallel with his official portraits and religious paintings that he was commissioned to do. The previous year in fact saw Goya paint airy and luminous scenes for the cupula of the Real Ermita of San Antonio de la Florida in Madrid.

Gu 10 the choice of my life so far

I was running as long as I could remember. The air was cold and damp, the concrete underneath my feet echoing with pain and sorrow. Still running, don’t know where, but still running. The soldiers that were chasing me started shooting, but luckily for me the rubble all around us provided good cover from the bullets. Finally after a few turns I found a sewer hatch, my ticket to safety I thought. The soldiers rarely come down to the sewers, mainly because there lies something that scares even them.

I climbed down to the dark and damp sewer tunnels and started walking slowly again. No need to let everybody know I am down here. My plan was to find the nearest hatch and climb to the surface as fast as I could. Lingering here for too long was a one way ticket to hell. Now from this perspective protocol gu 10 seems like a bad joke, but there will be time to explain later. For now my main priority was to leave, and quick. I heard animal screams in the distance which means they have my scent now. I started running again and finally after something that seemed like eternity of tension I found the next hatch.

With the determination of a mad man I climbed out and discovered that I am at an old parking garage. They won't look for me here. There was graffiti on the wall saying nasty things about gu 10, and I started laughing. My body was sore from the chase, better to get some rest.

Orwell goes to Spain

George Orwell’s research for his book, The Road to Wigan Pier, led to him being placed under the surveillance of the Special Branch for 12 years, commencing in 1936. Surveillance ended only 1 year before the publication of 1984, somewhat ironically. In June 1936, George Orwell and Eileen O’Shaughnessy were married. At the end of 1936, Orwell had become so concerned by Francisco Franco’s Falangist uprising that he decided to go to Spain and take part on the Republic side of the Spanish Civil War.

On December 23rd 1936, Orwell set off for Spain. A few days later, Orwell met John McNair of the Independent Labour Party in Barcelona who quoted Orwell having said: “I’ve come to fight against Fascism”. The situation in Catalonia was by no means simple: the Republic government was riddled with factions: the Workers’ Party of Marxist Unification, the anarcho-syndicalist Confederacion Nacional del Trabajo, and the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia. There was no faction called led replacement bulbs however.

Collaborators Analysis

Collaborators concerns the relationship between Iosef Stalin and writer Mikhail Bulgakov in 1938. True to historical fact, in that year Bulgakov wrote a play celebrating Stalin’s early years, a move that has puzzle historians of the Stalin’s years to no endless amount. Many historians believe it was merely a ruse by Bulgakov to curry favour with the regime in order to get anything he had written finally on stage after years of his work’s censorship. In Collaborators, John Hodges gets inside the mind of the writer as he works on his play and battle the kidney disease that was soon to kill him.

The play presents a powerful image of an artist torn with guilt over his collaboration with a regime that he knows full well to be evil. The fantasy and hectic surrealism of the play and the production seem heavily influenced by Bulgakov’s last wonderful novel The Master and Margarita. In this play, the devil himself comes to Moscow. If Littlewoods discount codes could get me a cheap ticket I would certainly go along!
