Malaysia
Fascinating
Malaysia has everything you would wish for in a holiday destination
from beautiful beaches, enchanting marine parks, exciting cities and
ancient rainforests. Malaysia is divided by the South China Sea
into two main areas, Peninsular Malaysia and the states of Sabah &
Sarawak which are located on the island of Borneo.
Malaysia’s most visited destinations are
probably the bustling capital city of Kuala Lumpur, and the islands
of Penang and Langkawi. But there are many more exciting areas to
enjoy. The lush tea growing area of the Cameron Highlands and the
cultural town of Melaka are must see destinations.
The unspoilt East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia
has stunning deserted beaches that stretch as far as the eye can
see. The island of Redang has superb powder white beaches with
crystal clear seas, and being part of a marine park is a diver’s
paradise.
Located in the heart of Peninsular Malaysia,
Taman Negara National Park at 130 million years old, it is the
World’s oldest tropical rainforest and is easily accessible from
Kuala Lumpur and the East Coast.
The states of Sabah and Sarawak on the
Northern coast of Borneo, are a nature lover’s paradise. Sabah is
home to Mt. Kinabalu, the highest peak in South East Asia. It is
possible to trek to the summit of this impressive mountain and
witness sunrise over the jungle below. Sabah’s dramatic landscape
is home to many animals, including Asian elephants and orangutans.
The Sipadan Islands off the coast of Sabah, are known as one of the
best dive sites in the World.

Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia and
it’s rainforest is the size of Austria. Home to the Rafflesia, the
largest flower in the world. It has twenty seven different ethnic
groups, each with their own languages and culture, you can get a
fascinating insight into their lifestyle by choosing to stay a night
or two in one of their longhouses during your holiday.
