South Korea

Seoul, South Korea's busy capital city, has over 600 years of history and although this is one of the fastest growing cities in Asia, its cultural buildings and heritage still stand proudly along neon lit streets.   Attractions include the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum and the Seoul Tower.

Many people visit South Korea to see the DMZ (Demilitarised Zone), the area between North and South Korea.  Excursions to the DMZ, Panmunjeom and 3rd Tunnel can be organised as a day excursion from Seoul.

Busan is the second largest city in South Korea, and has the countries largest port.  It is also home to the fabulous Haeundae Beach which is popular with locals and visitors alike.

Gyeongju has been visited by tourists for many years due to the large amount of historical and cultural places of interest.  As the capital of the Shilla Kingdom for almost a thousand years the area has now been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Attractions include the Buddhist Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Chomsongdae Observatory and Royal Tumuli Park.

South Korea has some stunning national parks, including Mt. Seoraksan and Mt. Songnisan, both have outstandingly beautiful scenery.  For complete relaxation why not visit the island of Jeju? Known for its fantastic beaches and tropical landscapes.
