China Discovery

The China Discovery tour allows you to immerse yourself in China's ancient heritage and culture and later experience the unique atmosphere of vibrant city of Hong Kong.

Days 1 & 2

Fly direct with British Airways from London Heathrow to China’s fascinating capital city, Beijing. On arrival  transfer to the Novotel Xinqiao Hotel for a four night stay.

Day 3

Following breakfast, private sightseeing tour of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace.

Day 4

After breakfast, private guided tour of the Great Wall of China, visit the Ming Tombs of Dingling and Ming Tombs of the Scared Way.

Day 5

Following breakfast, private sightseeing tour of the Temple of Heaven and visit Beijing’s major shopping area of Wangfujing Street.  Later enjoy a rickshaw tour of Beijing’s Hutongs.

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Xian, home of the Terracotta warriors.  Private tour of the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, later check-in at the Bell Tower Hotel in Xian for a two night stay.

Day 7

Following breakfast, private guided tour of the awe inspiring Terracotta Warriors, followed by a visit to the Stone Tablet Museum. 

Day 8

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Shanghai.  During the rest of the day you will have a private sightseeing tour of the River Bund and the Yuyuan Garden.  Check-in for a two night stay at the Park Hotel 

Day 9

Following breakfast, a private guided tour of the Shanghai Museum, Pudong District and the Jade Buddha. 

Day 10

After breakfast, there is free time to explore the Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping area.  Afternoon transfer to the airport for a onward flight to Guilin.  On arrival in Guilin transfer to the Bravo Hotel and check-in for an overnight stay.

Day 11

Following breakfast, board a sightseeing cruise along the scenic Li River to the small town of Yangshou,  stay overnight at the Paradise Hotel.

Day 12

After breakfast your day is free to explore beautiful Yangshou, many people choose to rent a bicycle from their hotel and ride through the picturesque farm land. Later there will be a guided transfer back to Guilin, for an overnight stay at the Bravo Hotel.

Day 13

Following breakfast, private guided tour of Reed Flute Cave and Fupo Hill before transferring to the airport for your onward flight to Hong Kong.  On arrival, transfer to the City Garden Hotel on Hong Kong Island for a two night stay.

Day 14

After breakfast, full day sightseeing tour of Hong Kong, including visits to Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Kowloon Walled City Peak, the Jade Market and Bird Garden.

Day 15

Following breakfast your day is free for sightseeing.  Later transfer to Hong Kong Airport for your return evening flight with British Airways to London Heathrow.
