The Best of Beijing

Capital of the Peoples’ Republic of China, Beijing is an amazing city, with ancient history, impressive temples, palaces, tombs and the awe inspiring Great Wall of China. In the centre of Beijing is the Forbidden City, a maze of palaces, which became home to 24 Emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the colourful decoration of these palaces are highly symbolic along with the intricate design of each building.

A short drive from Beijing is the world famous Great Wall of China, stretching for over 6000 kilometres this magnificent structure was once an important part of China’s defence. Close to the Great Wall and surrounded by mountains on three sides are the Ming Tombs where 13 Emperors of the Ming Dynasty are buried.
