The Treasures of Bangkok
Thailand's charismatic capital city
Bangkok, is always a hive of activity. A

stream of boats, long tail taxis and passenger ferries pass along the Chao Phraya

gold plated reclining Buddha reaching forty six metres in length.
Close to Wat Pho is the stunning Grand Palace built in 1782, its
exquisite buildings are decorated with gold that shimmers
radiantly in the Thai sunshine.
One of the most well known icons of
Bangkok is the Tuk Tuk, a ride in one of these colourful
vehicles is an experience to say the least, never afraid of speed,
they make light work of Bangkok's heavy traffic!
The city has a huge array of markets and department
stores, and is an excellent place for shopping. Market
traders like to haggle and you can easily pick up a few bargains.
