Bali

The beautiful Indonesian island of Bali located just south of the Equator has more to offer than just fantastic beaches.  The stunning scenery includes lush green rice fields and terraces, magnificent volcanoes, waterfalls, serene lakes and colourful temples.

Bali has many beach resorts to choose from, Kuta and Legian are the most popular and can become very busy during high season, whilst the resorts of Nusa Dua, Candidsa and Lovina are quieter and more exclusive.  There are also a number of retreats in the cultural inland town of Ubud, famed for its many art galleries and traditional handicrafts.

The island is home to thousands of intricately decorated temples, some of the most impressive include Besakih on the slopes on Mount Agung, Taman Ayun and Mengwi. The spectacular Tanah Lot temple, has a dramatic location perched on the top of a large black lava rock 200 metres off shore.
